Times columnist Martinez returns

“You meet a lot of people in 35 years,” L.A. Times columnist Al Martinez wrote recently. “You answer God only knows how many letters and respond to more telephone calls than you could ever remember. Questions, answers, comments, shouts, whispers.” Now Martinez will be doing some commenting and shouting of his own. His column returns to The Times in the California section starting Monday, and will appear weekly.
