Second suspect in terrier theft turns himself in
A second suspect in the robbery of five purebred Yorkshire terriers from a Koreatown home turned himself in Sunday, police said.
Troy Cabral, 23, was booked on suspicion of robbery, with bail set at $100,000, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said. Cabral turned himself in about 10 a.m. at the Wilshire Division station, the spokesman said.
The terriers, valued at $2,500 each, were stolen at gunpoint during a Feb. 23 robbery on Manhattan Place that was captured on videotape. Four of the dogs were returned to their owners over the weekend after Ryan Betton, 19, of Los Angeles turned himself in Friday night.
