Day-old girl’s body found in pile of clothes

The body of a day-old girl was discovered Wednesday morning at a home in Lakewood, authorities said.
The body was found by the infant’s grandmother shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the 6400 block of Bigelow Street, authorities said. The body was in a pile of clothing in a hamper.
Homicide investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were at the scene. No arrests have been made.
