Man apparently drowns in apartment pool

A 26-year-old man died Wednesday while swimming in an apartment complex pool.
The apparent drowning occurred about 7:45 p.m. at the Greenhouse Apartments in the 1200 block of Deerpark Drive, police said. Witnesses said the man was swimming when he suddenly stopped and sank to the bottom of the pool.
Authorities did not release his name, pending notification of relatives.
He was taken to Placentia-Linda Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed today, authorities said.
