Rapper Eve to be charged with DUI
The city attorney’s office announced Thursday that it will file a complaint today charging rapper-actress Eve with driving under the influence, driving with a 0.08 or above alcohol level and failure to provide proof of insurance.
The charges stem from her arrest April 26 about 2:45 a.m. by Los Angeles Police Department officers after the performer, whose real name is Jihan Jeffers, struck the raised concrete center median on Hollywood Boulevard and Sycamore Avenue, said Nick Velasquez, a spokesman for the city attorney.
After her arrest, she submitted to a breath test that showed an alcohol level above the legal limit, Velasquez said.
