* New York 9, at Arizona 4: Damion Easley and David Wright each hit three-run homers in the ninth inning, and the Mets got their 11th straight victory in Chase Field. With the Mets trailing 4-3, Easley, a former Diamondback, hit a 2-and-0 pitch from closer Jose Valverde (0-2) into the left-center-field bleachers. It was Valverde’s second blown save in 12 opportunities and his first since April 3 in Colorado.

* Pittsburgh 4, at Milwaukee 2: Jose Bautista and Ronny Paulino hit consecutive home runs in a four-run seventh inning to help the Pirates rally and stop the Brewers’ four-game winning streak. Tom Gorzelanny (4-1) won his fourth straight road start, giving up two runs and six hits in seven innings.

* at Houston 7, Cincinnati 5: Luke Scott hit a go-ahead, two-run double in a three-run eighth against Mike Stanton (1-1) and Craig Biggio followed with a run-scoring double as Cincinnati overcame a 5-4 deficit. Dan Wheeler got three outs for his fifth save in six chances, inducing Ken Griffey Jr. to ground into a game-ending double play with two on.

* Philadelphia 9, at San Francisco 7: Jimmy Rollins had two triples and drove in two runs and Phillies starter Adam Eaton beat the Giants for the first time in nearly six years. The Phillies beat San Francisco for the 11th time in their last 13 meetings.
