Griffith Park reopenings
The city’s Recreation and Parks Department is reopening a number of Griffith Park facilities and trails that had been closed after the May 9 fire. Reopening today are:
* Bicycle rentals
* Merry-go-round
* Mineral Wells Picnic Area
* Park Center Picnic Area
* Shane’s Inspiration
* Trails Cafe
* Upper Fern Dell Area/Section 9
* Oak Canyon Trail
* Lower Skyline Trail
* Rattlesnake Trail
* Amir’s Garden
Smoking, barbecues, portable stoves and all open flames remain banned in all areas of the park, including picnic areas.
