at New York 119, Denver 112: In their first meeting at Madison Square Garden since last year’s brawl there, the Knicks erased deficits of 10 and 15 points to beat the Nuggets. Jamal Crawford had 25 points for the Knicks, who had four scorers with 20-plus points. Seven players were suspended and both clubs were fined $500,000 for the brawl.

Cleveland 108, at Golden State 104: LeBron James had 24 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists to keep the Warriors winless in the Cavaliers’ third victory in their last four trips to Oakland. Leading by one, James drew triple coverage before initiating a series of passes that ended in a three-point basket by Daniel Gibson to seal it with 19 seconds left.

Phoenix 115, at Charlotte 83: Playing without Amare Stoudemire (knee), Leandro Barbosa, Raja Bell and Shawn Marion led eight players in double figures with 16 points apiece in the Suns’ 15th victory in their last 16 road games against Eastern Conference teams dating to last season. Charlotte lost guard Raymond Felton to a left knee injury.

at Milwaukee 112, Toronto 85: Desmond Mason was 10 for 10 from the field and scored 21 points as the Bucks shot 60.3% en route to victory without Coach Larry Krystkowiak, whose wife gave birth to twins. The Bucks were shooting 65% with five minutes left. Toronto’s Chris Bosh, limited by foul trouble early, finished with one point.

Orlando 111, at Minnesota: 103: In a matchup of two of the best young power forwards, Dwight Howard had 28 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Magic past Al Jefferson and the Timberwolves. Jefferson finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds, including 12 points in the fourth quarter when Minnesota cut a 16-point deficit to two.

at Sacramento 104, Seattle 98: Francisco Garcia made the go-ahead jumper with 29 seconds left to give Coach Reggie Theus a victory in his Arco Arena debut. Kevin Martin had 31 points for the Kings. Seattle rookie Kevin Durant finished with 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Seattle, which fell to 0-4 for the first time in 30 years.

at New Jersey 87, Atlanta 82: Richard Jefferson scored 25 points and the Nets took control with a 16-4 run in the third quarter in which seven different players scored. New Jersey led by 14 points in the fourth quarter, before Josh Smith, Josh Childress and Joe Johnson got the Hawks back in the game by combining for all the points in a 16-4 spurt.

at Houston 89, San Antonio 81: Yao Ming had 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead the way in a game in which the Rockets held the Spurs to 32 first-half points.

New Orleans 118, at Lakers 104: Peja Stojakovic made a club-record 10 three-pointers and scored 36 points and Chris Paul had a club-record 21 assists for the Hornets.

Clippers 97, at Chicago 91: Cuttino Mobley scored 33 points to help the Clippers improve to a surprising 3-0 while dropping the Bulls to an equally surprising 0-4.
