Rapist is still at large, sheriff’s officials say
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A man who raped a woman as she walked to work through the city’s historic district was still at large Monday, Orange County sheriff’s officials said.
Authorities said the man grabbed the victim from behind and dragged her 30 feet through the shrubbery near the 31700 block of Los Rios Street about 2:10 a.m. Sunday. He then sexually assaulted her, spokesman Jim Amormino said.
Officials described the man as a Latino in his mid-20s, heavyset with slicked-back hair.
