Nice insult

Don’t get me wrong. I’ve always admired Joe Torre as a player and a manager. But he took the Yankees’ offer of $5 million as an insult? Either Joe doesn’t remember how the rest of us live, or his deluded self-worth has run amok.

One of these days, the public is going to finally wake up and realize that these ridiculous salaries are totally out of proportion. In the meantime, the average fan will continue to pay $15 for a hot dog and beer at Dodger Stadium.
