* at North Carolina State 29, No. 21 Virginia 24: Daniel Evans threw for a career-high 347 yards and three touchdowns, two to Donald Bowens, and the Wolfpack (3-5, 1-3) broke a nine-game conference losing streak at Raleigh. Jameel Sewell threw for 260 yards and two scores for the Cavaliers (7-2, 4-1) before suffering an apparent right leg injury with about seven minutes left. Virginia had won seven in a row.

* Clemson 30, at Maryland 17: James Davis ran for 129 yards and a touchdown, and the Tigers (6-2, 3-3) built a 20-3 halftime lead and coasted past the Terrapins (4-4, 1-3) at College Park. Cullen Harper threw two touchdown passes to tie the single-season team record of 21, set by Woodrow Dantzler in 2001 and matched by Charlie Whitehurst in 2003. Maryland scored on its first drive but lost the ball twice and committed several costly penalties as the Tigers built their lead in the first half. The Terrapins scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter after Clemson went up 30-3.

* at Wake Forest 37, North Carolina 10: Kevin Marion returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown, Josh Adams rushed for two scores, linebacker Aaron Curry returned one of his two interceptions 77 yards for a touchdown at Winston-Salem, N.C., and the Demon Deacons (6-2, 4-1) routed the Tar Heels (2-6, 1-3), who held a 313-269 advantage in total yards. North Carolina has lost two straight and six of seven.

* at Florida State 25, Duke 6: Preston Parker caught a touchdown pass and scored on an end-around at Tallahassee to help the Seminoles (5-3, 2-3) end a two-game losing streak. The Blue Devils (1-7, 0-5) have lost 22 consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference games.
