* at No. 13 Missouri 42, Iowa State 28: Lorenzo Williams recovered a fumble in the end zone at the start of the second half, giving the Tigers (7-1, 3-1) breathing room and momentum in a victory over the stubborn Cyclones (1-8, 0-5) at Columbia. Missouri, which entered the game seventh in the nation in offense at 518 yards a game, was held to a season-low 366 yards. Jimmy Jackson, Tony Temple, Martin Rucker and Jeremy Maclin each scored for Missouri, which has won 14 of its last 15 home games. The Tigers lost safety Cornelius “Pig” Brown for the season because of a ruptured Achilles tendon.

* Colorado 31, at Texas Tech 26: Cody Hawkins threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and the Buffaloes (5-4, 3-2) intercepted four Graham Harrell passes, returning one for a score in a victory over the Red Raiders (6-3, 2-3) at Lubbock. The Buffaloes held a 24-6 lead early in the third quarter before the Red Raiders came charging back behind Harrell, who completed 46 of 62 passes for 431 yards and three touchdowns. Texas Tech has lost to Missouri and Colorado in successive games two seasons in a row.

* at Kansas State 51, Baylor 13: Josh Freeman threw touchdown passes on three straight possessions to open the second half, and the Wildcats (5-3, 3-2) handed the Bears (3-6, 0-5) their eighth straight conference loss at Manhattan. Jordy Nelson added a 92-yard punt return for Kansas State’s last touchdown. Nelson also had eight catches for 105 yards, and Brooks Rossman kicked three field goals. Baylor committed seven turnovers and managed only 13 yards rushing against Kansas State’s defense, which gave up 329 yards on the ground in an Oct. 20 loss at Oklahoma State.
