SAN JOSE -- Forward Joe Pavelski scored his first two goals of the exhibition season as the San Jose Sharks, appearing at home for the first time, beat the Stanley Cup champion Ducks, 3-1, Friday night.

Pavelski’s second goal of the game came at 15:48 in the third period, breaking up a close game that San Jose dominated, outshooting the Ducks, 36-19. It was San Jose’s second win over the Ducks in three nights.

The Sharks are 2-0-1. The Ducks dropped to 2-3-1 in the exhibition season.

The Ducks rallied from a 1-0 deficit after the first period when top forward prospect Bobby Ryan scored his first goal of the exhibition season in the second period with a bad-angle wrist shot that slipped past Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov on a power play.
