I wonder if the Dodgers franchise will make mention or acknowledge this project during its upcoming 50th anniversary festivities [“Driven to Distraction, Sept. 16]? [Was it] coincidence or the ghosts of history holding Mr. Valdez back to help mark another L.A. historic moment? Interesting timing, que no?

My husband works with one of the O’Malley’s bloodline. My husband shared the [Ry Cooder] CD when it came out, and I’m hopeful he will share this article, so that maybe they will come out to see the project, especially [with] Viejo O’Malley’s portrait on the truck.
