Wally Knox is approved as DWP board member

The City Council on Wednesday approved Wally Knox as a Department of Water and Power commissioner.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa appointed Knox to the job to replace Mary Nichols, who left to become head of the California Air Resources Board. Knox, an attorney, is a former Democratic assemblyman who served with the mayor in the Assembly.
