at No. 25 Nebraska 35, Iowa State 17: I-back Marlon Lucky passed and ran for touchdowns, and Bo Ruud scored on an interception return for the second straight week, leading the Cornhuskers (4-1, 1-0) over the Cyclones (1-4, 0-1) at Lincoln. Sam Keller and Thomas Lawson also teamed up for two touchdowns as Nebraska won its conference opener for the 11th time in 12 years. The Cornhuskers scored 28 straight points to wipe out a 10-0 deficit and won their eighth straight game against a Big 12 North opponent. The Cyclones are winless in eight road games since October 2005 and in 15 visits to Lincoln since 1977.

at Texas Tech 75, Northwestern State 7: Graham Harrell threw for 338 yards and five touchdowns, and Michael Crabtree tied a freshman record for touchdown receptions in a season as the Red Raiders (4-1) routed the Demons (2-2) at Lubbock. Harrell hooked up with Crabtree for three scores, giving the receiver 14 to match a Division I freshman record in only five games. Crabtree equaled the mark set by Jabar Gaffney of Florida in 2000, Mike Williams of USC in 2002 and Davone Bess of Hawaii in 2005. Crabtree finished with eight receptions for 145 yards, 49 yards fewer than his nation-leading 194-yard average coming into the game.

at Texas A&M; 34, Baylor 10: Stephen McGee and Jorvorskie Lane each ran for more than 100 yards and a touchdown as the Aggies (4-1, 1-0) beat the Bears (3-2, 0-1) at College Station. Mike Goodson had an electrifying touchdown catch and the Aggies’ defense did the rest, holding the Bears to only seven first downs and 60 yards rushing. The Aggies rushed for 352 yards and won time of possession by more than 26 minutes.

at Oklahoma State 39, Sam Houston State 3: Zac Robinson threw for 279 yards and two scores, and Perrish Cox returned a punt for a touchdown as the Cowboys (3-2) pulled away from the Bearkats (2-2) in the second half at Stillwater. Adarius Bowman caught eight passes for 141 yards and a score. Julius Crosslin and Kendall Hunter each added touchdown runs as Oklahoma State piled up 297 yards rushing.
