Dallas 4, at Phoenix 2: Brenden Morrow scored and added an assist to lead the Stars, who secured no worse than the fifth playoff spot in the Western Conference.

N.Y. Rangers 3, at N.Y. Islanders 0: Jaromir Jagr scored two power-play goals and the Rangers clinched an Eastern Conference playoff berth.

at Montreal 3, Buffalo 1: Bryan Smolinski scored twice and the Canadiens eliminated the Sabres from the playoff race.

Ottawa 8, at Toronto 2: Antoine Vermette scored three goals and the Senators moved within a point of securing a playoff berth. Ottawa can clinch a playoff spot tonight against Boston.

at Minnesota 3, Calgary 1: Marian Gaborik scored two third-period goals to help the Wild clinch the first division title in the franchise’s seven seasons. The Flames still need one point to secure a playoff spot.

Edmonton 2, at Vancouver 1: The Oilers knocked the Canucks out of the playoff race.

at Kings 4, San Jose 2: The Kings handed the Sharks their first regulation loss in 21 games.
