* Dallas 105, at Phoenix 98: Dirk Nowitzki scored 12 of his 32 points and the Mavericks limited the Suns to three-for-19 shooting in a final quarter in which they prevailed, 27-9, to overcome a 13-point deficit. Dallas went ahead for good on a 16-0 run in the quarter and held Phoenix scoreless for just under eight minutes of it.

* at Seattle 151, Denver 147 (2 OT): One night after losing to Sacramento at home, the Nuggets lost in double overtime to the SuperSonics to fall into a tie with Golden State for the final Western Conference playoff spot. Denver plays at Golden State on Thursday.

* at New Orleans 108, Golden State 96: Chris Paul had 16 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds and the Hornets closed the game on an 18-6 run to tie a franchise record for single-season victories with 54.

* Detroit 91, at Miami 75: Rodney Stuckey scored 19 points, Tayshaun Prince added 14 on six-for-seven shooting and the Pistons won their fifth in a row to clinch the No. 2 seeding for the Eastern Conference playoffs.

* San Antonio 72, at Portland 65: Tim Duncan had 27 points and 11 rebounds to help extend the Spurs’ winning streak over the Trail Blazers to 12 games. Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla left because of a broken right hand.

* at New York 100, Orlando 90: Rookie Wilson Chandler scored a season-high 23 points to help the Knicks to their first victory over a team other than league-worst Miami since beating Charlotte on Feb. 27.

* at Indiana 105, Milwaukee 97: Travis Diener scored 15 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and the Pacers moved three games behind Atlanta for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot with five games to play.

* Memphis 113, at Minnesota 101: Mike Miller had 34 points and made a season-high eight three-point baskets.

* Houston 105, at Clippers 79: The victory coming after Phoenix’s loss moved the Rockets to fifth in the West.
