Traveling public deserves respect

When asked what choice airline passengers have, industry analyst Ray Neidl said, “You can go Greyhound.” (“A bill of rights could be a cure for the headaches of flying coach,” Consumer Confidential, April 13.)

Unfortunately, this is the kind of response that typifies the view that the traveling public doesn’t deserve respect as a consumer of airline services.

After travel plans are made, hotel rooms booked and cars rented, travelers should have some reasonable expectation of getting to their destinations.
