The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Bahrain, Dubai, Iraq and Kuwait:

John T. Bishop, 22, of Gaylord, Mich.; private first class, Army. Bishop was one of two soldiers killed Wednesday when their armored vehicle rolled into a canal in Golden Hills, Iraq, northwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Ronald C. Blystone, 34, of Springfield, Mo.; staff sergeant, Army. Blystone was killed Wednesday when his unit was attacked with small-arms fire while it was on foot patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Benjamin K. Brosh, 22, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; specialist, Army. Brosh died April 18 at Forward Operating Base Anaconda in Balad, Iraq, north of Baghdad, of injuries suffered when a vehicle carrying a bomb exploded at a checkpoint in nearby Paliwoda. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Adrian M. Campos, 22, of El Paso; airman apprentice, Navy. Campos was killed Monday when he apparently fell from the third floor of the atrium in a Dubai hotel while on shore leave. He was assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Support Squadron 22, which is attached to the supply ship Arctic, based in Norfolk, Va.

Guadalupe Cervantes Ramirez, 26, of Ft. Irwin, Calif.; sergeant, Army. Cervantes Ramirez was killed Wednesday in a nonhostile vehicle accident at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, near the Persian Gulf. He was assigned to the 2nd Transportation Company (Heavy Equipment Transport), Echelons Above Brigade Support Battalion, National Training Center Support Brigade at Ft. Irwin.

Steven J. Christofferson, 20, of Cudahy, Wis.; specialist, Army. Christofferson was one of two soldiers killed Monday when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in Baiji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Timothy W. Cunningham, 26, of College Station, Texas; first lieutenant, Army. Cunningham was one of two soldiers killed Wednesday when their armored vehicle rolled into a canal in Golden Hills, Iraq, northwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Lance O. Eakes, 25, of Apex, N.C.; specialist, Army National Guard. Eakes was killed April 18 when his vehicle struck a roadside bomb in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1132nd Military Police Company in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Jordan C. Haerter, 19, of Sag Harbor, N.Y.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Haerter was one of two Marines killed Tuesday by a suicide car bomber at a checkpoint in Ramadi, Iraq, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Ronald R. Harrison, 25, of Morris Plains, N.J.; private, Army. Harrison died of noncombat-related injuries Tuesday at Forward Operating Base Falcon near Baghdad. He was assigned to the 703rd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Adam J. Kohlhaas, 26, of Perryville, Mo.; sergeant, Army. Kohlhaas was one of two soldiers killed Monday when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in Baiji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Cherie L. Morton, 40, of Bakersfield; petty officer first class, Navy. Morton was found dead April 20 at her off-base home in Galali, Bahrain. The cause of death has not been disclosed. She was assigned to the Naval Security Force, Naval Support Activity in Bahrain, which is home to the Navy’s 5th Fleet.

Matthew R. Vandergrift, 28, of Littleton, Colo.; first lieutenant, Marine Corps. Vandergrift was killed in combat Monday in Basra, Iraq, south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Shaun J. Whitehead, 24, of Commerce, Ga.; staff sergeant, Army. Whitehead was killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near him while he was on foot patrol in Iskandariya, Iraq, south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Jonathan T. Yale, 21, of Burkeville, Va.; corporal, Marine Corps. Yale was one of two Marines killed Tuesday by a suicide car bomber at a checkpoint in Ramadi, Iraq, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
