Site -- McAfee Coliseum, Oakland.

Radio -- 570, 1330 (Spanish).

Records -- Galaxy 6-7-5; Earthquakes 3-9-6.

Record vs Earthquakes -- 2-0-0.

Update -- Having already defeated the Earthquakes twice, the Galaxy needs to do so again today to keep from falling further behind in the Western Conference. It was in third place going into the weekend, behind Real Salt Lake and the Houston Dynamo. Goals by David Beckham and Landon Donovan gave Los Angeles a 2-0 victory over San Jose at the Home Depot Center in April, and an Edson Buddle hat trick gave the Galaxy a 3-0 win at Oakland in June. The Earthquakes have added English forward Darren Huckerby since the last time the teams played. The Galaxy was routed, 4-0, at Dallas in its most recent game, extending its winless streak to six matches, as Beckham said: “We didn’t deserve to win. We didn’t play well and didn’t start the game well. Our attitude was bad before the game.”
