Fires close part of Los Padres forest

Officials closed about 88,000 acres of the Los Padres National Forest on Saturday as crews continued to battle five fires sparked by a lightning storm early Friday morning.
The fires, which had scorched nearly 250 acres, were about 5% contained, a U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman said.
