Denver lost Carmelo Anthony in the second quarter after he aggravated a sore right elbow that has been bothering him for two weeks. Anthony scored two points, halting his NBA-best streak of consecutive games in double figures at 221. Yao Ming led Houston with 18 points.

Portland 96, at Detroit 85: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points and Greg Oden had a career-high 13 rebounds to help the Trail Blazers beat the Pistons. Brandon Roy scored 19 points and Oden finished with 10 for Portland, which has won four straight. Detroit fell to 6-6 since Allen Iverson joined the team. Richard Hamilton had 18 points for the Pistons, who are 0-4 on Sundays and 10-2 during the rest of the week.

Chicago 103, at Philadelphia 92: Ben Gordon scored 21 points and Drew Gooden had 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Bulls completed a seven-game trip at 3-4. Derrick Rose, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, contributed 18 points and 10 assists for Chicago. Elton Brand had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Thaddeus Young added 17 points for the 76ers, who have lost four straight. Philadelphia has scored less than 100 points in seven consecutive games.
