Portland 98, at Toronto 97: Steve Blake made a go-ahead three-point shot with eight seconds left and the Trail Blazers spoiled Toronto Coach Jay Triano’s home debut. Chris Bosh, his head bandaged after receiving two stitches at halftime to repair a gash on his forehead -- thanks to an elbow from Greg Oden -- made a 14-foot jumper with 27 seconds to go before Blake hit his shot.
at New York 104, Detroit 92: Chris Duhon had 25 points and nine assists, Quentin Richardson scored 23 points, and the Knicks blew most of a 29-point lead before holding off the Pistons, dropping Detroit to 0-5 on Sundays. Detroit played nearly the entire fourth quarter without Richard Hamilton, who was thrown out of a game at Madison Square Garden for the third time in four years.
at Lakers 105, Milwaukee 92: The Bucks’ starters score 18 points, two fewer than Kobe Bryant.
