19 are arrested in prostitution sting
A dozen men and seven women were arrested Thursday morning in an undercover prostitution sting at four massage parlors throughout Los Angeles County, including Beverly Hills, officials said.
Undercover agents visited massage businesses in the 11100 block of 1st Avenue in Whittier, the 5700 block of Whittier Boulevard in East Los Angeles, the 200 block of South Clark Drive in Beverly Hills and the 2200 block of Lerona Avenue in Rowland Heights.
Eighteen of the people arrested, including 12 male customers, were booked on prostitution charges.
Another woman, Woo Sub Yoon, 74, was charged with procuring people for prostitution, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Luis Castro. She was booked at the Industry sheriff’s station and later released on bond.
