* San Antonio 99, at New York 93 (OT): Michael Finley made the tying three-point basket with 0.4 of a second left in regulation and the Spurs scored the first seven points in overtime to hand the Knicks their eighth consecutive loss. The Knicks played without starting forward Quentin Richardson (sprained right ankle) and key reserve Nate Robinson (upper respiratory infection).

* New Jersey 104, at Charlotte 90: Jason Kidd had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists in his NBA-leading 12th triple-double, but his first since Jan. 25, three days before he went public with his desire to be traded. His three-point basket with 5:56 left gave the Nets a 91-77 lead.

* Cleveland 100, at Atlanta 95: With the Cavaliers playing without four of their top seven scorers because of injuries, LeBron James came up huge at the end. First, he slipped inside of Marvin Williams to grab an offensive rebound, then put it back in to give Cleveland a 96-91 lead with 1:19 left. Then, he grabbed a rebound off Joe Johnson’s miss and passed to Ira Newble for a breakaway dunk that clinched it with 18 seconds to play.

* Boston 88, at Minnesota 86: Leon Powe made a layup at the buzzer to lift the Celtics. It was Kevin Garnett’s first game in Minneapolis since the Timberwolves traded him to Boston, but he sat out his sixth consecutive game because of an abdominal strain.

* at Detroit 91, Portland 82: Chauncey Billups took advantage of Brandon Roy’s absence, scoring 17 points in the first quarter to help the Pistons win their seventh in a row. Roy did not play because of a death in his family. Billups didn’t score again, but it didn’t matter. The Pistons led by double figures for nearly all of the remaining three quarters

* at Dallas 92, Memphis 81: The Mavericks had a 25-point lead to start the fourth quarter before missing 11 consecutive shots -- with all the starters on the bench -- that narrowed the final margin. The Grizzlies lost their seventh consecutive road game.

* at Sacramento 117, Utah 104: The Kings pulled away in the fourth quarter to end the Jazz’s 10-game winning streak. John Salmons made back-to-back layups and Quincy Douby had consecutive three-point baskets during a 10-4 run that put the Kings ahead, 109-99, with 5:10 left.

* at Denver 111, Washington 100: Carmelo Anthony scored a career-high 49 points to lead the Nuggets. He made 19 of 25 shots and all eight of his free throws in the third-highest individual scoring game in the NBA this season.

* at Phoenix 103, Seattle 99: The Suns were 32 of 32 from the free-throw line, just missing the franchise record of 33 without a miss, set against Detroit on Dec. 23, 1980.

* Lakers 117, at Orlando 113: Dwight Howard was called for goaltending on a shot by Lamar Odom with 30.5 seconds left to make it 115-112.

* Clippers 102, at Toronto 98: The Clippers improved to 6-19 when Corey Maggette scores 20 or more points. He had a season-high 35.
