* at Toronto 3, Detroit 2 (OT): Nik Antropov deflected in Anton Stralman’s slap shot 62 seconds into overtime to lift the Maple Leafs to the victory. It was Toronto’s fifth afternoon home game in 12 years and it has won them all.

* Florida 6, at Boston 3: Olli Jokinen and David Booth scored 14 seconds apart in the second period, Richard Zednik had two goals and the Panthers won for the fourth time in five games, scoring 24 goals during that stretch.

* at Calgary 4, Edmonton 1: Owen Nolan scored two goals and Dion Phaneuf and Jarome Iginla also scored for the Flames. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 14 shots.

* at New Jersey 6, Carolina 1: Paul Martin scored two goals and the Devils won for only the fourth time in 10 home games. Keith Aucoin scored for the Hurricanes.

* at San Jose 4, Nashville 3: Jonathan Cheechoo scored three goals, including the game winner with 4:55 left, to help the Sharks win their third in a row over the Predators.

* N.Y. Rangers 2, at Philadelphia 0: Steve Valiquette made 31 saves to record his second consecutive shutout. Philadelphia has lost two in a row.

* at Minnesota 4, N.Y. Islanders 3 (OT): Brent Burns scored 2:34 into overtime to lift the Wild. The Islanders have lost seven games in a row.

* at Ottawa 6, Montreal 1: Jason Spezza scored three goals and a career-high six points and the Senators’ top line combined for 15 points.

* at Atlanta 2, Tampa Bay 1 (OT): Alexei Zhitnik scored 1:26 into overtime and the Thrashers moved back into a tie with Carolina for the lead in the Southeast Division.

* at Dallas 6, St. Louis 2: Brenden Morrow, Mike Ribeiro and Jere Lehtinen scored power-play goals and the Stars extended their winning streak to six games. Mike Smith stopped 27 shots.

* Colorado 6, at Vancouver 2: Marek Svatos had two goals and an assist and linemate Tyler Arnason added a goal and two assists in the Avalanche’s victory.

* at Pittsburgh 4, Kings 2: The Kings, last in the NHL with 49 points but 8-4-1 in their last 13 games, slipped to 3-2-1 on an eight-game trip.
