* Calgary 2, at Minnesota 1: Daymond Langkow and Craig Conroy scored, Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 38 shots and the Flames replaced the Wild atop the Northwest Division.

* San Jose 2, at Pittsburgh 1 (SO): Jeremy Roenick scored the game-winner as all three Sharks skaters were successful in the shootout.

* New Jersey 2, at Washington 1 (OT): John Madden backhanded a rebound under goalie Brent Johnson’s left leg pad with 50 seconds remaining in overtime, and the Devils moved into the first place in the Eastern Conference.

* at N.Y. Rangers 5, Florida 0: Marek Malik scored his first goal of the season and Jaromir Jagr scored his second in two nights.

* at Phoenix 2, St. Louis 0: Former Ducks goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 35 shots for his second shutout of the season and fourth of his career. The Coyotes’ 31 wins are one more than they recorded all of last season.

* at Edmonton 3, Colorado 2: Andrew Cogliano’s third-period goal helped the Oilers end a three-game losing streak and ruin the return of Avalanche forward Joe Sakic, who had missed the last 38 games after hernia surgery on Dec. 28.

* at Ducks 6, Chicago 3: Teemu Selanne had his 20th career hat trick to overtake Maurice Richard for 25th place on the career goal list with 546, and also recorded his 600th assist.
