* at San Antonio 89, Atlanta 74: Tim Duncan had 23 points and 10 rebounds and the Spurs won their sixth in a row despite scoring a franchise-low five points in the opening quarter. San Antonio made one of 17 shots in the first quarter. Tony Parker scored 13 of his 15 points as the Spurs took the lead for good with a 21-4 run in the third quarter.

* Washington 95, at New Orleans 92: DeShawn Stevenson made a fade-away three-point basket at the buzzer, capping off a career-high 33-point effort and sending the Hornets to their third straight loss. Stevenson’s shot came after he raced down court following a game-tying free throw by the Hornets’ Hilton Armstrong.

* Detroit 98, at Denver 93: Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince and Richard Hamilton had 20 points each for the Pistons. The Nuggets had a chance to tie it when Billups fouled J.R. Smith on a three-point shot with 6.5 seconds left and Detroit leading, 95-92. Smith made only the first free throw. Billups then made three free throws.

* Toronto 102, at Indiana 98: Chris Bosh had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Carlos Delfino added 23 points and made six of seven three-pointers and the Raptors took the lead for good with a 13-2 run midway through the fourth quarter to beat the Pacers for the third time in as many meetings this season.

* at Dallas 102, Chicago 94: In his first home game with the Mavericks since 1996, Jason Kidd had 11 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in a victory. Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points for the Mavericks, who never trailed after Kidd assisted on Josh Howard’s three-pointer that opened the scoring in Dallas’ 11th straight home victory.

* Boston 104, at Clippers 76: Fresh from ending a three-game losing streak that was their longest of the season, the Celtics had no trouble with the Clippers.
