Pepperdine (6-12, 0-2) at St. Mary’s (14-2, 1-0), 7 p.m. -- The Waves, still reeling from the sudden resignation of Vance Walberg as coach Thursday, will be without guard Jason Walberg, his son. He quit the team Friday. Walberg was averaging 8.5 points and was second on the team in assists. Reserve center Jarrad Henry is not making the trip, either, but has not officially left the team. St. Mary’s is 9-0 at home. The Gaels are limiting opponents to 39.9% shooting.

Loyola Marymount (4-14, 1-1) at Santa Clara (8-8, 0-1), 7 p.m. -- The Lions ended a seven-game losing streak Monday with a 73-68 victory over Portland. Corey Counts is shooting 44.4% from three-point range, including seven for 12 (58.3%) in two conference games. Santa Clara, with former UCLA assistant Kerry Keating in his first year as coach, has lost three consecutive games and five of six.

UC Irvine (7-10, 2-2) at Pacific (12-5, 3-1), 7 p.m. -- The Anteaters’ opponents are shooting 51.2% in four conference games. Also, Irvine is 1-9 in games away from home. Steffan Johnson is averaging 20.2 points in the last four games for Pacific, which has won four of its last five.

Cal State Fullerton (10-6, 3-2) at UC Davis (8-9, 2-2), 7 p.m. -- The Titans have lost consecutive games for the first time this season. They are shooting only 37.9% in their last two while giving up an average of 88 points. UC Davis is led by Vince Oliver, who averages 12.7 points a game.

Long Beach State (4-11, 1-3) at UC Riverside (3-12, 0-4), 7 p.m. -- Long Beach guard Donovan Morris was chosen Big West Conference player of the week last week after averaging 26 points in two games and helping the 49ers end a five-game losing streak. WOMEN

PACIFIC 10 CONFERENCE

UCLA (9-8, 4-3) at USC (10-7, 3-3), noon -- Despite victories over Stanford two weeks ago, the Bruins and the Women of Troy are middle-of-the-pack in the conference. Last week was especially painful to USC, which split its games in Washington while UCLA swept Washington and Washington State. UCLA, at 71.8 points, is the conference’s second-highest scoring team and has won four of its last five. The Bruins are led by Lindsey Pluimer (14.1 points, 7.3 rebounds) and freshman Nina Earl (10.4 points), but freshman Darxia Morris (9.9 points) is questionable because of a sprained knee. USC has lost three of its last five following an embarrassing 60-45 loss to Washington. The Trojans are getting outplayed on the boards, and must step up -- or box out -- against UCLA, which is No. 1 in rebounding (44.0) in conference play; USC is ninth (32.2).
