Northridge falls to Chicago State

CHICAGO -- David Holston scored 25 points and had six assists Tuesday night to lead Chicago State past Cal State Northridge, 83-75, in a nonconference game.
John Cantrell had 14 points for the Cougars (8-14).
Cal State Northridge (13-4) made only 39.7% of its shots from the field compared with 50.9% for Chicago State.
Rodrigue Mels came off the bench to score a team-high 18 points for the Matadors. Josh Jenkins and Rob Haynes scored 15 points apiece.
