Long Beach State (4-13, 1-4) at Cal State Northridge (13-4, 5-0), 4 p.m. -- The conference-leading Matadors are coming off a nonconference loss to Chicago State that ended a six-game winning streak. Forward Tremaine Townsend leads the Big West in rebounding with 8.4 per game. Long Beach has lost seven of its last eight despite 21.3 points a game from Donovan Morris during that stretch.

UC Riverside (4-13, 1-5) at UC Irvine (7-11, 2-3), 7 p.m. -- The Anteaters are happy to return to campus, where they are 6-0 this season, after dropping consecutive road games. Forward Patrick Sanders is averaging 18.8 points in Big West games and Darren Fells leads the conference with 59.2% shooting. Riverside, which is 0-9 in road games, is averaging only 58 points in conference play.

UC Davis (8-11, 2-4) at UC Santa Barbara (14-5, 3-3), 7 p.m. -- The Gauchos have lost consecutive home games after starting the season 7-0 at the Thunderdome and can ill afford any more losses if they are to live up to their preseason billing as conference favorites. They shot a season-low 32.1% Thursday in a loss to Pacific. Davis is 1-9 on the road.

Loyola Marymount (4-16, 1-3) at Pepperdine (6-14, 0-4), 7 p.m. -- The Waves, who have lost eight of their last nine games, are playing at home for the first time since the abrupt resignation of coach Vance Walberg. Center Jarrad Henry has not practiced with the team since Walberg left, though coaches are still hopeful he will rejoin the team. The Lions have lost nine of their last 10 games and are averaging only 57.8 points a game in conference play.

WOMEN

PACIFIC 10 CONFERENCE

UCLA (10-9, 5-3) vs. Oregon State (10-9, 3-5), 2, 1150 AM -- UCLA scored 20 of the final 25 points Thursday to defeat visiting Oregon, 63-59. The Bruins forced a season-high 29 turnovers, 10 during the second-half run. Freshman guard Darxia Morris returned from a three-game absence because of a knee injury and scored six of her eight points in the second half. Three players average in double figures for the Beavers, led by senior guard Ashley Allen at 17.1.

USC (12-7, 5-3) vs. Oregon (10-9, 4-4), 2 -- USC hopes to build off its 59-47 victory Thursday over Oregon State, in which freshman center Kari LaPlante scored a career-high 13 points (all in the final 10 minutes) and backup point guard Hailey Dunham played every position but center and scored 10 points. Oregon, coming off a 63-59 loss to UCLA, is led by sophomore Taylor Lilley of Newhall Hart, who averages 12.8 points.
