An 8-year-old girl missing from her foster home since early Monday was found abandoned Tuesday morning in her foster parents’ stolen Lexus in 95-degree heat in Oklahoma, but the whereabouts of her 12-year-old foster sister remained unknown, authorities said.

Robin Lemus was sitting in her pajamas in the dark-blue sedan in a McDonald’s parking lot at 10 a.m. when she was found by police in Miami, Okla.

She told authorities that she was waiting for her foster sister, Estephanie Flores 12, and for Flores’ biological mother, Iris Pineda Zavala, 38, of Monrovia and an unidentified 18-year-old man traveling with them.

Authorities believe that Estephanie used the younger girl’s cellphone to plot to run away with her mother. Estephanie allegedly drove her foster parents’ car away from home early Monday, traveling with Robin to meet Zavala and the unknown man.
