Extreme pain
Re “Tighter money contest in 46th,” July 18
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Huntington Beach), a 10-term incumbent, was described as “popular.” He is anything but. Like others who are either far right or far left, he will continue to serve as long as districts are gerrymandered to assure that an extremist -- left or right -- is assured victory.
In California, incumbents are rarely defeated. We need an educated public that can overcome the special interests that have left our country ungovernable.
