Update -- Mexican icon Cuauhtemoc Blanco has been the target of opposing players in recent games as Chicago has lost two in a row, leading Coach Denis Hamlett to criticize MLS referees for not protecting his star. “We have a special player who can make special plays with the ball,” Hamlett said. “And in the last three games there is a pattern where he’s getting fouled six or seven times and the referees haven’t figured out that it’s a tactical play that these teams are doing.” Chivas USA, which also has lost two in a row, will be without goalkeeper Brad Guzan, who is with the U.S. team for World Cup qualifying, while Chicago will be without Costa Rican defender Gonzalo Segares for the same reason.
