There’s ‘Dirt’ on the red carpet

Share

“Dirt” star and executive producer 1. Courteney Cox Arquette, flanked by costars Ryan Eggold, left, and Jeffrey Nordling, got the flashbulbs popping at the second-season premiere of the FX Network show at the ArcLight Theatre in Hollywood on Feb. 28. That is, until 2. Alexandra Breckenridge puckered up to the paparazzi with her own spotlight-stealing moves. Feeling less lovey-dovey toward the media: Cox Arquette’s fellow “Friends” alum Matthew Perry, who skipped the red carpet altogether. Afterward, the cast and crew celebrated by downing milkshakes in shot glasses at Eva Longoria Parker’s new restaurant Beso, a week before the Hollywood hot spot officially opened.

A signature readiness

Donning a light-colored dress, 3. Kate Beckinsale bravely wielded a pen at the “Snow Angels” premiere at the Egyptian Theatre on Feb. 28, where the multitasker signed and posed at the same time like a pro. Despite a jampacked awards season, Jason Reitman showed no signs of party fatigue at the affair, which wrapped up a three-night American Cinematheque tribute for writer-director David Gordon Green.

Offering a disco take

At the opening of Cinderella-inspired musical “Cindy and the Disco Ball” at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank on March 1, star 4. Christine Lakin kept the peace on the “shag” carpet, while Garry Marshall channeled Travolta. 5. Connie Jackson showed the ‘fro, and cast mate 6. Melissa Strom prettied up in pink. But theater founder Marshall gave best disco duds honors to a kid in the audience, who received a Magic 8 Ball and an autographed photo of the cast. Groovy!
