at Vancouver 4, St. Louis 2: Brad Isbister scored with 4:12 left in the third period and the Canucks rallied for the victory. Vancouver took two penalties in a row in the final three minutes, but Roberto Luongo made a handful of tough stops.

New Jersey 2, at Toronto 1: Martin Brodeur made 42 saves and Zach Parise scored with 48.3 seconds left to keep the Devils atop the Eastern Conference. Brodeur stopped 141 of 147 shots during four victories over the Maple Leafs this season.

Ottawa 4, at Phoenix 2: Mike Fisher had two goals and the Senators snapped a three-game winless streak. The Coyotes blew a 2-1 second-period lead and dropped their third in a row at home. They are five points behind Vancouver and Nashville in the race for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Phoenix is 14-17-3 at home this season but 20-13-2 on the road.

at Florida 3, Atlanta 2 (OT): Nathan Horton scored a power-play goal 4:36 into overtime. Brett McLean added two power-play goals for the Panthers, who matched a season high with their fourth consecutive victory.

at Philadelphia 4, N.Y. Islanders 1: Scott Hartnell scored two of the Flyers’ four power-play goals. Philadelphia is 5-1-1 since losing 10 in a row. Freddy Meyer scored the lone goal for the Islanders, 2-6 since winning six in a row.

at Carolina 4, Buffalo 3 (OT): Scott Walker deflected in a shot from Eric Staal in overtime and the Hurricanes, who won for the seventh time in eight games, took a seven-point lead in the Southeast Division over Washington.

at Boston 2, Washington 1: Marco Sturm scored the second of the Bruins’ two five-on-three power-play goals late in the third period. Boston ended a three-game losing streak.

at Colorado 3, Dallas 1: Peter Forsberg posted his first two points since rejoining the Avalanche, which has won six in a row. The Stars have dropped three in a row after winning four straight.

Montreal 5, at Kings 2: Jaroslav Halak made 35 saves in his first start for the Canadiens.
