Developer sues over park denial

Two weeks after Garden Grove officials rejected his long-held plans to build a Latino theme park on a city-owned golf course, a Riverside County developer is suing the city for $1.5 billion for “unlawful, tortuous and unconstitutional conduct.”
In unanimously rejecting the sale of Willowick Golf Course to Granados LLC, Garden Grove city officials reneged on a previous agreement to allow him to build Las Americas theme park, two water parks and hotels, Ron Granados said. City officials declined to comment on the claim.
