In my house, Garrison Keillor is best known as the voice of Odin in the Disney animated series “Hercules” and Walt Whitman in the Ken Burns documentary “The Civil War.” I’m told he also has some sort of rural, homespun-humor radio show, which seems like a mighty strange fit for Westwood, but he’ll be there tonight at UCLA’s Royce Hall to tell tall tales and crack wise. Bob Woodward turns 65 next Wednesday and has lived long enough to see himself portrayed by Robert Redford (“All the President’s Men”), Will Ferrell (“Dick”) and J.T. Walsh (“Wired”). Guess which one he shows to the grandkids? AFI will screen “All the President’s Men,” that most cerebral of thrillers, on Wednesday at the ArcLight Hollywood ( www.afi.com). . . . Have visiting friends in town, but you don’t feel like waiting in line all day for “Tonight Show” tickets? Jay Leno works on his material Sunday nights at the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach

([310] 372-1193). . . . Our moment in L.A. history: What a month for the LAPD! It was 30 years ago that Daryl Gates became Chief Loose Cannon, while this month is also the 26th anniversary of the first “T.J. Hooker” episode. To celebrate, let’s go see the Eagle Rock punk of the Brigs and Angel City Outcasts at the Knitting Factory on Friday night.
