Arizona’s Johnson has help in victory

PHOENIX -- Stephen Drew hit a three-run home run, Randy Johnson earned his 286th victory and the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-4, Tuesday night.

Drew’s homer capped a five-run outburst against Adam Eaton (0-1) in the fourth inning.

Johnson (2-1) went six innings, matching his longest outing, and gave up four runs, six hits and struck out six. He also surrendered two homers, walked two and hit a batter.

Johnson gave up a total of five earned runs in his first three starts after returning from back surgery. In his last two outings, Johnson has given up 10.

The Diamondbacks gave Johnson plenty of support. They took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Conor Jackson’s run-scoring single.

The Phillies rallied in the third inning on a double by Eaton, who was hitless in his first 10 at-bats this year, and a two-run homer by Eric Bruntlett.

Arizona scored five runs in the fourth inning. Eaton walked Justin Upton and Miguel Montero around a double by Mark Reynolds to load the bases with no outs.

After retiring Augie Ojeda on a fly ball to shallow center field, Eaton walked the .167-hitting Johnson on four pitches to tie it, 2-2.
