Disneyland goes for Indy

Disneyland is whipping up some Indiana Jones magic of its own.

“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” hit theaters on Thursday but the hero also arrived at Disneyland, where the Anaheim theme park launched “Indiana Jones Summer of Hidden Mysteries,” a season-long promotion centered in Adventureland, where park performers will stage “Random Acts of Indy” that have bad guys and the famous fedora-wearing archaeologist racing through the district at street-level or overhead.

Also, a storytelling performance called “Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Stone Tiger” has been added at the Oasis stage, and tweaks have been made to the existing Indiana Jones Adventure ride and the 53-year-old Jungle Cruise attraction to reflect the revival of the film franchise.
