TV-Radio -- None.
Records -- Sparks 1-0; Dream 0-2.
Update -- In their season- opening victory at Phoenix, the Sparks performed like the championship contender many predicted and rookie Candace Parker (34 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists) displayed the talent many have talked about. Atlanta, meanwhile, has played like an expansion team, losing by 33 points in its franchise opener against the Connecticut Sun, then dropping its home opener Friday against the Detroit Shock, 88-76. The Dream missed its first 14 three-point attempts against the Shock. --
