Titans (OT) 19, Packers 16
NASHVILLE -- Rob Bironas got a second chance at redemption in overtime, kicking a 41-yard field goal with 9:36 to go that kept the Tennessee Titans the NFL’s last unbeaten team with a 19-16 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
Bironas had a chance to win in regulation but banged a 47-yard try off the upright, prompting the All-Pro to yank his facemask down in anger.
But the Titans (8-0) won the toss and drove 55 yards in 10 plays to give Bironas another chance. Going out on third-and-two, he swung through his fourth field goal that started the celebration as the Titans matched a franchise record by winning their 11th straight regular-season game.
The Packers (4-4) had tied it, 16-16, on Mason Crosby’s third field goal, a 38-yarder, with 5:30 left.
Quoteworthy: “When you win eight games, you’re going to on occasion need to win some like this,” Jeff Fisher, Titans coach
