Miami 99, at San Antonio 83: The Spurs’ Tony Parker sprained his left ankle in the first quarter, and the Heat took advantage of his absence with Dwyane Wade producing 33 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. X-rays were negative on Parker, who Coach Gregg Popovich said would probably be out two to four weeks.

at Charlotte 92, New Orleans 89: Bobcats Coach Larry Brown went with an odd lineup midway through the fourth quarter that included D.J. Augustin, Adam Morrison and Matt Carroll. The trio fueled a 14-2 run capped by Augustin’s three-point shot that made it 85-78 lead with 2:54 left. Then Raymond Felton made two pivotal free throws for the Bobcats down the stretch, and the Hornets’ Chris Paul missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

New York 114, at Washington 108: Jamal Crawford led Coach Mike D’Antoni’s never-take-a-breath attack with 23 points, and the Knicks made 51% of their shots in the victory. “It’s fun,” said Chris Duhon, who had 12 assists and no turnovers. “We still have a lot to learn.”

at Atlanta 110, Toronto 92: Mike Bibby scored all of his 19 points in the first half, making four three-point shots during an 18-4 run that broke open the game for the Hawks. Bibby also had 12 assists as Atlanta (4-0) is off to its best start since 1997.

at Boston 101, Milwaukee 89: The Celtics trailed by 11 points midway through the first quarter and didn’t go ahead until Kevin Garnett’s dunk made it 44-42 with 4:13 left in the half.

at Cleveland 111, Indiana 107: LeBron James scored 27 points and Anderson Varejao had a career-high 18, including 10 in the fourth quarter, as the Cavaliers rallied after trailing most of the first three quarters.

at New Jersey 103, Detroit 96: Devin Harris scored 19 of his career-high 38 points in the third quarter of the Nets’ comeback victory. “Points for me didn’t matter,” Harris said. “It was all about the win. We desperately needed this for our confidence’s sake.”

at Chicago 100, Phoenix 83: Suns center Shaquille O’Neal, as planned, got the night off. Bulls reserve center Ben Gordon responded by scoring 23 points, and rookie Derrick Rose had 18 points, six assists and several dazzling plays in Chicago’s victory. With the Suns playing four games in five nights, Steve Nash and Stoudemire sat out the fourth quarter.

at Utah 104, Oklahoma City 97: Andrei Kirilenko had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz as Jerry Sloan became the first NBA coach to win 1,000 games with one team. Utah fans chanted “Jerry Sloan!” and “Jer-ry! Jer-ry!” at the end in honor of the coach, who is 1,000-596 with the Jazz.

at Sacramento 121, Minnesota 109: Kevin Martin had 26 points and six assists, and the Kings never trailed. Kevin Love had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Timberwolves.

Memphis 109, at Golden State 104: Rudy Gay scored 23 points, including five points in the final minute to lead the Grizzlies’ victory. His 24-foot three-point shot with 55 seconds left made the score 104-98. O.J. Mayo scored 20 points.

at Denver 108, Dallas 105: The Nuggets’ Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points and made four free throws in the closing seconds to hold off the Mavericks. Chauncey Billups, acquired by Denver in the Allen Iverson trade, had 15 points.

Houston 92, at Clippers 83: The Rockets won despite Tracy McGrady missing all five of his shots and finishing with two points.
