* Update: Chad Billingsley didn’t look particularly sharp in his last two starts, but the Dodgers’ early clinching of the NL West title allowed him to get some extra rest. Instead of starting the regular-season finale Sunday as planned, Billingsley pitched two innings in relief, both of them scoreless. He lost in his only start at Wrigley Field this season but didn’t pitch poorly, as he limited the Cubs to two runs over six innings. Carlos Zambrano no-hit Houston on Sept. 14 but has been downright awful since. He gave up 13 earned runs over 6 1/3 innings in his last two starts. The two rough outings were preceded by a trip to his native Venezuela for his grandmother’s funeral. He skipped a scheduled start Sunday.
