Falcons...27 Packers...24
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Aaron Rodgers played hurt and played hard. But he was upstaged by Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta’s rookie quarterback turned in another sharp performance, completing 16 of 26 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns and an interception as the Falcons pounced on the banged-up Green Bay Packers for a 27-24 victory at Lambeau Field.
The new-look Falcons (3-2) earned their first road win of the season. It was the third straight loss for the Packers (2-3).
Rodgers started despite a sprained shoulder that kept him out of practice most of the week. He got better as the game went on, even as signs that his shoulder was bothering him got more obvious.
Quoteworthy: “Our house is messy right now. Nobody’s happy about it and we’ll continue to work.” -- Mike McCarthy, Packers coach
