Re “At least 7 die as N. Calif. bus flips,” Oct. 6
On several occasions, I have traveled by bus in California. I enjoy sitting in the first row, with a view of the road. The driver always had a safety belt, but I’m amazed that there were no safety belts provided for the passengers. I always felt very vulnerable, especially in the front row.
What can we do to get belts installed? Are there no legal requirements? Which agency is responsible?
There is an urgent need to raise this issue, demand a change in policy and get belts installed.
