Woman is fatally shot in parked car

A 30-year-old woman was fatally shot Wednesday morning outside her workplace, and her estranged husband has been identified as the suspect, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 8:30 a.m. as Veronica Reyes of Burbank parked her car in the 900 block of East 223rd Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives said a black 2008 BMW pulled up next to her car, and a man armed with a handgun got out and opened fire as Reyes sat in her car.
Authorities said they were searching for her estranged husband, Carlos Reyes, 29, of San Pedro.
