Happy Brian Wilson Day
Los Angeles City Council members Tom LaBonge and Janice Hahn were dancing in the council chamber’s aisles Friday to music of the Beach Boys as Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa proclaimed it Brian Wilson Day in Los Angeles. Wilson, whose latest album, “That Lucky Old Sun,” celebrates the Southern California mystique his music helped to create, called the proclamation “one of the best” of the many high points in his life.
The recognition was made in conjunction with his performances this weekend at the Hollywood Bowl.
