Update -- Trying to solidify its playoff place, Chivas USA this week acquired a pair of 30-year-old midfielders -- Sasha Victorine and Dejair. Victorine, a former UCLA and Galaxy standout, was obtained from the Kansas City Wizards, and Dejair joins Chivas after playing for ABC FC in Brazil. Both have experience that should help in the continuing absence of on-field leader Jesse Marsch, who broke his jaw earlier in the season. Their debuts could be delayed, however, because Victorine has a right hip strain and Dejair didn’t get his U.S. work visa Friday until Friday. To make room on the roster, Chivas put midfielder Raphael Wicky and defenders Lawson Vaughn and Eric Ebert on the season-ending injury list.
